Introduction

Dunbar is a small club with a wide range of standards and ages. A regular core of players are keen to enter the East Lothian team leagues, a large number of players enjoy their tennis at the weekend and during the longer daylight nights. There is also a strong junior section, including a junior squad, supported by our enthusiastic local coach.

Our aim is to introduce tennis to all ages.

The benefits of tennis are considerable, Whether played regularly at team level or occasionally amongst friends the aerobic and anaerobic activity provides an excellent way to obtain cardio vascular exercise, improved hand/eye co-ordination and a general feeling of fitness.

Come and join in for FREE at our club nights

During Spring and Summer on Tuesday evening from 6.30 - 9pm and from September onwards on Saturday afternoons, the club members hold a regular club session to which all first time visitors are very welcome. Committee members will be on hand to answer any questions and you can join the tennis for free. (see also Junior ClubNights and Coaching)

Don't worry if you don't have racquets or tennis balls, providing you have suitable rubber soled trainer style shoes you can play on the courts.

Club or Public - the choice is yours

Our development initiative provided three club and three public courts. There is a ticket machine operating all year round so you can enjoy tennis at any time. Tickets for one hour's play are £2 per adults and £1 for juniors up to 16yrs. There is no charge for under 5yrs.

With our annual membership fee equivalent to just over £5 a month, membership is the best option for anyone loking to enjoy regular tennis and the exercise benefits it brings. Add in the club socials, coaching, the club house facilities and the wider range of courts and we believe we have the best value in East Lothian!
